Why Black Angus?

Angus cattle have been traditionally associated with having exceptional levels of eating quality ie. tenderness, juiciness and flavour.

These traits combined with their easy care and natural “doing” ability make them the ideal choice for the production of Organic Grass Fed Beef.

The Aberdeen Angus breed originated in Aberdeenshire Scotland in the early 1800’s, a local farmer Hugh Watson is said to be the founder of the breed registering the first cattle around 1840 and breeding the first recognised sire“Old Jock”.

Since then Angus cattle have spread to all parts of the world to where the breed is now recognised as the benchmark when it comes to the production of high quality beef.
